Winners Announced for Africa Rural Connect's Young Farmers Idea Contest

Africa Rural Connect has announced the three winners of their Young Farmers Idea Contest, which encouraged African diaspora and volunteers to share their ideas for new ways to engage youths in sub-Saharan Africa in agriculture and farming. Winners included a mobile phone initiative to boost smallholder productivity and incomes through conservation farming, a micro-loan program to engage women and youth in poultry production, and a sustainable school lunch program linked to African-style keyhole gardens.
