A Facebook page called Boere in Nood (Farmers in Distress) has collected more than R240 000 for animal feed.

The group was created in early November in an effort to assist drought-stricken farmers.

According to the founder of the group, Free State businessman NC Schoombee, they have managed to assist farmers across the country with animal feed.
